Ok, some of you may remember these games back on the Genesis and Dreamcast. If so, dust off your photon sabers, photon pistol/rifle and force weapons! New class and new race! This is a totally offline version of Phantasy Star Online 2 for PC and PS Vita. Launch date is scheduled for some time in November. Unfortunately, this is the Japanese launch date. No real time frame for a western/european market. Since Atlus (Disgaea anyone?) has free access to ALL of Sega's game library, a shit ton of titles are going to be ported to handhelds. Who wouldn't like to relive Phantasy Star Portable gaming? Are you kidding me?! I'll be anxiously awaiting my downtime at the end of my 11 hour day of driving to play this game! As it stands, PSO2 is on the Japanese PSN market for FREE!!! Downside/s? Online only and you can only update via wifi, it's in Japanese. So...if you can't read/speak Japanese, good luck. There is hope for you non-speakers though. An English patch does exist. It is a pain in the ass to install, but makes the game playable if you are Japanese deficient. Graphics are beautiful. It's essentially a PC game in your hand with the graphics set to max. (PS Vita) You can also buy a cartridge version for the low low price of $69.99-$99.99 (USD) with your purchase, you get a bunch of extra stuff. Items, in-game currency, etc. Be advised though, if you do get this, the second you start to run it, be prepared for a BIG patch (big for the Vita anyway.) of over 1GB.
