Turn 4: Mountain/Plains, cast Viashino Firstblade, swing with all creatures, put Tajic on battlefield tapped and attacking.

Tajic enters too late for his battalion trigger to activate.

Abilities based on when a creature attacks only go off if the creature is declared as an attacker during the appropriate step. The Preeminent Captain's triggered ability triggers the same way, at the same time.
